The city of Osaka, where our headquarters is located, is also home to surfactant manufacturers and medical/cosmetic product manufacturers that make up our major customer base, as well as many key domestic suppliers. One of them, Sanko Chemical, manufactures liquid paraffin, insecticide materials, and a wide variety of small-lot fatty acids and esters, of which Japan has few manufacturers. Sanko Chemical is one of our most significant suppliers.

The raw material of oleochemicals (Glycerine, fatty acids, higher alcohols, and medium-chain triglycerides) is palm, a recyclable resource. By pioneering import routes in countries like Indonesia, oleochemicals have grown to be a pillar of our import business.

We are also an agent of Dow Chemical, the largest maker of chemicals in the United States, and as such, we work to expand Japanese domestic sales of their products. We are also working to expand the sales of Sanko Chemicals’ high-performance anti-static agents, which we anticipate will be a next-generation core product.

The good relationships we have built with competitive suppliers like these are the major drivers of our business.

Sanko Chemical is a manufacturer of liquid paraffin (mineral oil), solvents for insecticides, fatty acid esters, and other such products. We are also putting forth effort as a sales agent of Sanko Chemical. Their products are widely used as raw materials in a variety of applications from industrial uses to cosmetic and medical products, including as finishing agents for synthetic fibers, solvents for synthetic resins, and surfactants. We also focus effort on sales of Sankonol®, a high-performance anti-static agent developed by Sanko Chemical. This product uses the excellent conductivity of lithium salts (which are also used as a material in storage batteries, rechargeable batteries, and other secondary batteries), and is used mainly in office automation devices, processing machine components (urethane, synthetic resins, and rubbers). We have positioned it as a product with high future potential.

One of our major fields of focus is the import and sale of oleochemicals, which are made of the renewable resource palm oil. Palm is used as a material in a variety of familiar products, such as body soaps, shampoos, and detergents, as well as synthetic paints, fibers, cosmetics, and more. Through monthly meetings with prominent Indonesian and Malaysian suppliers such as Musim Mas and Sumi Asih, we have developed the Japanese market while sharing customer information. We also provide our major clients with monthly market information reports on materials and product prices, thereby contributing to competitive procurement of raw materials.
